The mindset is here folks. I am on the mark with my diet after 2 years of half hearted attempts, lots of home cooking and minimal exercise. It’ all a state of mind…and apparently I lost mine for a while. ANYWAY, I have stayed true to The Diet for over 2 weeks now, and it was time to take the next step…EXERCISE.
Stepping into LA Fitness after a long leave of absence takes determination and really, some bravery and guts. I got home from my grueling work day, and imagine this…a little thing called “motivation” in my mind kind of awoke after a lo-o-o-n-g nap and said “get out your workout wear and get thee to the gym!”. So I did. I printed out a schedule of classes for LA Fitness, saw there was an all-over body toning and cardio class, dug up some workout clothes from the bottom of the drawer, put the top down on my Sebring and well…just WENT.
That class kicked my ass. This was a class I could have just sailed through in fitter times, but I LABORED through it, and I’m paying the sore muscle price today. But it feels GOOD to finally use the old muscles. And the first day back is always the hardest. I am on my way. Let the journey begin…really.
